Your task

  • You combine your previous knowledge in the field of plastics engineering or materials science with machine learning (in Python)
  • Implementation work and continuous testing for the further development of AI optimization
  • Investigation and characterization of the plasticizing behavior during cyclic melting of different raw materials, taking into account various parameters
  • Forming physical correlations from technical literature as well as from learned correlations from production reality to derive optimization strategies

What you bring

  • Sound expertise in the field of plastics technology / materials science with a focus on polymers / injection molding
  • Good knowledge of Python and typical ML packages such as Tensorflow or PyTorch.
  • Previous knowledge of SQL and working with databases e.g. PosgreSQL an advantage
  • Sound knowledge of statistics and machine learning desirable
  • Very good knowledge of German and English
  • Proactive work style and enjoy teamwork
  • Enthusiasm for innovations
